Primary Research Themes: Compulsive sexual behavior disorder, sexual orientation, psychological and pharmacological treatment of a variety of sexual disorders including the paraphilas, sexual health promotion. 

Education Activities: Director of the Program in Human Sexuality and also the Behavioral Science Program in the Family Medicine residencies; course co-director for Human Sexuality, a required course for all first-year medical students; coordinates post-doctoral clinical/research fellowship in human sexuality and behavioral medicine; advises post-doctoral fellows and graduate students in counseling psychology.
