The University of Minnesota Department of Family Medicine and Community Health has 145 residents in seven residency programs.

Residents receive procedural training and the opportunity to participate in advanced training in sports medicine, obstetrical care, geriatrics, evidence-based medicine, and human sexuality, taught by faculty with advanced training credentials.

Five of our programs are in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area; our non-metro programs are Mankato, 80 miles southwest, and St. Cloud, 70 miles northwest (map and directions).

For information on one or more residency programs, contact Laura Pham, recruitment/admissions coordinator at 612-626-0194 or fmrp@umn.edu.

STFM Award recipients for outstanding service to family medicine education.

Also congratulations to Shana Sniffen, MD, recipient of the Leonard Burke Award and Tamara Detert, DO, recipient of the Excellence in Research Award.
